About
Valley Regional Hospital Foundation is a registered charity that works alongside Valley Regional Hospital to champion healthcare excellence in the Annapolis Valley. We fund essential medical equipment, cutting-edge technology, community health programs, patient support, and initiatives that boost hospital morale.
As the largest hospital on mainland Nova Scotia, Valley Regional serves the Annapolis Valley and acts as the referral centre for the western region, including South Shore and Southwest Nova Scotia.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, strong partnerships, a dedicated volunteer board, and passionate staff, we’re building better healthcare—right here at home.

OUR TEAM
Our Foundation brings together six passionate staff members and a volunteer Board united by one goal: better healthcare for the Annapolis Valley. Working alongside Nova Scotia Health, we raise funds to support the equipment, programs, and improvements that make a difference for patients and families every day.

STRATEGIC VISION
The Foundation has crafted four strategic goals and five values that will give our organization focus, intentionality, and purpose. The goals are aspirational and will be our guide to navigating a new era for the Foundation, ensuring we can amplify our commitment to inspiring philanthropic gifts in support of the best healthcare for the residents of the Annapolis Valley.

OUR HISTORY
In 1985, Valley Regional Hospital Foundation was formed to raise $8 million from the community to build Valley Regional Hospital. Foundations like ours play an important role in gathering financial resources and with the generosity of thousands of donors like you, have provided over $18 million to improve healthcare in our community.
