Old Orchard Inn names Valley Regional Hospital Foundation as multi-year charity of choice and is hosting the first of many fundraising opportunities for Annapolis Valley residents by partnering with the long-standing Valley Regional Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Lights holiday event.

Festival of Lights, in its 29th year, is a celebration event from the Foundation in appreciation of their community and donors over the last year and sponsored by Canadian Tire New Minas. Festival of Lights will be held at the Old Orchard Inn, December 3rd, with holiday snacks, beverages, and carols by the Dukes of Kent choir among other entertainment.

Festival of Lights will have fully decorated holiday trees done by local businesses in the community to be auctioned off during the event, in support of our Operation Enhancement Campaign, to upgrade the medical equipment for the operating rooms at Valley Regional Hospital. The decorated trees will be on display for the public viewing from Nov 23 – Dec 3, at which time they will be auctioned off via silent auction at the Festival of Lights event on December 3rd from 2-5 pm.

“Being the new owners/operators of this iconic local business, we understand the importance of giving back to this beautiful community and its amazing people”, says James Clouthier, General Manager of Old Orchard Inn. “Annapolis Valley residents, and beyond, have been a huge part of the success of the Old Orchard Inn. We value the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation as a charity of choice as they also support every single resident throughout the sprawling communities in and around the Valley. We are looking forward to hosting Festival of Lights this year and looking forward to continuing our partnership and strengthening this fantastic connection in our community”.

Festival of Lights is a free community event, all are welcome to join on December 3rd from 2-5pm at the Old Orchard Inn. Old Orchard Inn is located on Wolfville Ridge, Kings County, in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley.
