New urology equipment enhances patient care, thanks to donor support. Valley Regional Hospital Foundation is proud to announce a significant upgrade to our urology services, made possible by the generosity of our donors through our Operation Enhancement Campaign. This June, as we recognize Men’s Health Month, we’re celebrating the arrival of a state-of-the-art urology table with built-in X-ray and 15 advanced cystoscopes—tools that will transform diagnostics and treatment for patients in our community.
The new equipment marks a major advancement in precision, efficiency, and patient outcomes:
• The urology table provides real-time imaging during procedures, allowing surgeons to navigate complex cases—such as prostate cancer—with unparalleled accuracy.
• The 15 cystoscopes enable our specialists to detect bladder cancer, urinary tract infections, and other conditions earlier and with greater clarity.
“As a urologist, I see patients for bladder and prostate cancers, as well as kidney stones,” said Dr. Jeff Himmelman. “Having this new equipment means better outcomes—and with the PCNL tools, mean less travel for patients. Together, we’ve removed a significant barrier to care. Thank you.”
None of this would be possible without the dedicated supporters of Valley Regional Hospital Foundation. Every contribution to the Operation Enhancement Campaign directly impacts patient care, ensuring our medical teams have the best tools available.
