Patient Support Programs
Reducing barriers and giving comfort, neighbour to neighour
The Foundation supports fours areas of need in which we provide patient support: Cancer Care, Renal Care, Palliative Care via the CAREY ME fund, and Inpatient transportation.
Patients experience a variety of pressures which can impact their care and recovery. This stream of funding helps patients in financial distress access the care they need. Patients can receive assistance, in working with their healthcare navigators and/or hospital social worker to receive supports like:
- Gas or grocery gift cards
- Coverage for uninsured medications, devices, and services (coordinated with local pharmacies and providers)
Last year alone, patients received more than $53,000 in support, thanks to the generosity of our community.
