Foundation staff, Stacey Floris, was honoured to be a special guest at the February 15th supper meeting of the Port Williams and District Lions Club. The Lions made a generous donation of $1500 to purchase a bed side Oxygen & Pulse Monitoring System for the Women’s & Children’s Unit at Valley Regional Hospital.

This equipment is to help children experiencing difficulty breathing due to respiratory illness such as RSV, influenza and pneumonia. With continuous oxygen level and pulse rate monitoring, clinicians will have the information they need to detect respiratory complications earlier and intervene sooner.

This equipment provides a significant increase to the wellbeing and healthcare for these young patients in the Annapolis Valley. The Foundation is so appreciative to the Lions Club and their commitment in serving their community. Thank you for your generosity!
