A few weeks ago, we were excited to mail donors like you a holiday letter from a young mom named Jessica, who shared the sweetest story about her three-year-old daughter Raye’s experience in the emergency room, and how a good dose of community kindness made a big difference. Since the letter hasn’t arrived by mail, we felt it was important to share it. Click HERE to read it.

A big thank you to Jessica and Raye for sharing their Grateful Patient story and for reminding us that sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Today, we’re hoping you’ll do something a little extra that’s sure to have a big impact.

As the postal strike continues, please consider alternate ways to make your holiday gift and help bring more Grateful Patient stories to life.

Normally at this time of year, opening your donations in the mail is a bright spot to the holiday season. There’s so much love and care behind each gift. But things are looking different this year.

Donations are down and we’re worried about the impact it’ll have on patient care.

If you haven’t made your holiday gift yet, there are still ways you can:

  • Online by clicking below
  • By phone at 902-678-5414 weekdays between 9am-4pm
  • In person at the Foundation office, located in Valley Regional Hospital, to the left of the Main Entrance desk. Can’t make it during office hours? No worry! If you stop by after hours, you can slide your gift into the locked donation box attached to the wall just outside our office door
  • Valley Credit Union branches: by cheque and can be dropped off at any branch of Valley Credit Union now until Christmas.
