Faster Diagnosis, Better Outcomes: New Blood Culture Analyzers! At Valley Regional Hospital, our lab is a powerhouse of activity, performing more than 3.5 million tests each year. We serve not only the Annapolis Valley, but healthcare centres across the entire Western Zone. To keep pace with this demand, with thanks to community support, two new Blood Culture Analyzers were installed.

In the care of life-threatening infections like sepsis or meningitis, speed is a necessity. Research shows that for every hour treatment is delayed, the risk to the patient increases significantly.

These analyzers allow our lab to detect and diagnose infections with incredible precision. By identifying the cause of illness faster, healthcare teams can initiate targeted treatment sooner. This critical upgrade means:
