Carey Me is a memorial tribute to Bill Carey established by his family, Marilyn and Stephanie Carey, to offer support to those wishing to die at home but who do not have the financial means to make that choice.

When faced with a terminal illness, many patients, because of financial impediments, may not be able to benefit from care at home. Public health care does not provide the necessary medications, equipment and resources for palliative care at home. Unless families are financially secure or have private insurance, it is difficult to have their loved ones receive care at home.

The Carey Me Fund, administered by the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation, provides financial assistance for individuals and their families in their time of need. Monies are raised through special events and donor gifts.
